Hiking in the Rain Shadow of the Olympic Mountain Range on the Tubal Cain (Tubal Cain was an aborted attempt due to ice), Upper Dungeness and Royal Basin Trails (one forest, one park and one wilderness area in a single afternoon-and a stop off in a sovereign nation on the way home)

(Cougar warning, the first trailhead, an alpine strawberry poking up through the thaw, Jim on the trail, Lisa clings to the first bridge for dear life after skating up the icy trail (we switched to the Upper Dungeness trail, 1000 ft lower after this traverse, and our picnic site at the S'Klallum tribe's visitor center on the bay.
